he was struck by a vehicle near our farm.
In October 2004, he underwent surgery for a total hip replacement, but the surgeon feared it would be unsuccessful, so he opted for a Femoral Head Ostectomy or FHO.
Spur has been going through rehabilitation, and has shown some good progress.
He still has a long way to go. He still has a limp, but he has begun to walk and trot and use his leg again. When he runs, you would never know he was ever injured!
I would like to thank all of the folks who so graciously and generously donated to the
"Spur of the Moment Fund". Those of you who bought cookies and dog beds and other items to fund Spur's surgery helped us greatly!
