Lucinda Blenis   has been involved in the horse industry for over 20 years. She is a graduate of Centenary College with a degree in Equine Studies, and is a Level II American Certified Riding Instructor. She specializes in Hunt Seat and Dressage.

In 1989, Lucinda spent 6 weeks on sheep and cattle farms in Australian and New Zealand... where she fell in love with the "Bluey" a.k.a. Blue Heeler or Australian Cattle Dog.
"They were intense workers with incredible stamina, intelligence and loyalty to their keeper. They were fiercely courageous, bold, and very independent... and there was something about their eyes... deep, dark, glistening pools of devotion, history and pure heart."

Lucinda knew that some day, she would share her life with Cow dogs!

In 2000, Lucinda started "Bella's Wish". A foster home/rescue for Pit Bull type dogs. But she never lost sight of her Heeler dream! After nearly 2 years and over 30 successful rescues, which were all personally funded, Lucinda decided to "slow up" and take a break from rescue...

Lucinda decided, 12 years after her trip down under, that it was time... she purchased "Haystack", her first Australian Cattle Dog. The rest is history!
Jason Blenis grew up on a beef cattle and dairy farm, so horses and dogs are nothing new to him! He has lived a very diverse life ... He has worked on a ranch in Montana, farmed hay and crops in New York and New Jersey, he has ridden bulls and trained horses, he has Captained a 67' foot yacht, driven commercial trucks, was a dealer/repairman for Pisten Bully snow groomers, and has built ski lifts all over the world... It seems there's nothing he can't do!
A true cowboy at heart, Jason is the "muscle" of the operation... the Official Fence Builder, Tractor Fixer, Poop Picker, Horse Catcher and Salesman Ouster... He compliments Lucinda nicely, as he tends to be the level headed ("not another dog/horse"), hard-nosed, "don't let anyone walk all over you" type...

Jason lost his Australian Shepherd/ACD X "Cheyenne" to cancer during the Summer of 2002. She was a true working dog who will be greatly missed...
Hunter is growing up fast! He will be turning 13 years old in September, '08. His dog "Mud" (Forgotten Works Mud on the Tires) needs one single point to finish his championship title. He currently has a 5, 4 and 3 -point major. More importantly, he is Hunter's best friend and sidekick!
